The Fragrance Blend

For the bath bombs, I used Pumpkin Spice fragrance oil paired with Oatmeal, Milk & Honey fragrance oil.

  • Pumpkin Spice brings warm cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom.
  • Oatmeal, Milk & Honey balance it with creamy sweetness.

Together, they smell like pumpkin pie topped with whipped cream — warm, cozy, and not overpowering.

What I Learned About Fragrance Oils & Natural Colorants

One thing I learned is that the Pumpkin Spice and Oatmeal, Milk & Honey fragrance oils didn’t discolor the bath bombs at all. The base stayed creamy white, which made the glitter I sprinkled on top stand out beautifully.

When I tried rose petal powder, the deep burgundy shade shifted into a more natural brownish-burgundy as it cured. But honestly, it still looked really pretty — it gave the bath bomb a more earthy, natural vibe instead of bright artificial color.

That’s the beauty of experimenting with natural colorants: the shades might shift, but they still create gorgeous, unique results.

To pair with the bath bombs, I made bath truffles — and these turned out to be the highlight of the project. I shaped them two different ways:

I scented them with orange essential oil and a touch of Energy fragrance oil. The bright citrus lifted the warmth of the pumpkin bath bombs beautifully.

Because they’re made with cocoa butter (shop cocoa butter here affiliate link), they fizz lightly but also melt into the bath, leaving the water creamy and moisturizing.

And here’s where the magic happens: I sprinkled eco-friendly orange mica glitter (mica powder set affiliate link) on top.

In the bath, the glitter swirled around for a festive sparkle. When I got out, the cocoa butter left a soft shimmer on my skin that looked like a natural highlight. I actually received a lot of compliments on how pretty it looked — subtle, glow, and fun without being over the top.

💡 Tip: Bath truffles are perfect for markets or gift sets because they add a touch of luxury. They’re richer than bath bombs and leave the skin extra soft.
