Chapped lips are tough. Chapped lips in winter are just awful. They're so bad, I made my own lip balm a few winters ago because of my own chapped lips.

My lips chapped so badly they were bleeding 😩. All of the name brands I tried didn't help, and here's why: they were made from beeswax. Beeswax sits on top of the lips and doesn't penetrate the skin, so no healing or repairing occurs. I decided to make my own lip balm using two different kinds of butters and oils, plus an essential oil. All these ingredients aid in repair and healing, and I was able to heal my chapped lips in a few days.
